As the oldest, continuously active guild on this entire server, we have a grand history, and many will recognize your name. Throughout the years, the Tuatha De Danann have stood out as one of the friendliest, most trustworthy organizations in Hibernia, Percival.

We are a guild with Honor.  When people see our guild tag, even if they do not know you, they will say "That is a good person to have around."  .

All that said, here are the rules of our guild:

1.  Respect -- We treat all persons on our server with respect regardless of guild or realm.

2.  We Roleplay -- We do not simply say "enter exit" to a gatekeeper or just "task" to a guard, we put it into a sentence such as "Do you have a task for me?".

Anything said by a member of Tuatha de Danann that can be heard outside of the guild or group channel is expected to be in character (this includes alliance chat).  Do not use any out of character reference in any public channel, including alliance, broadcast, say, emotes, battlegroups or realm/battleground defense chat.

If you must speak to someone out of character we ask that you do it in the group or chat channel with an OOC: preface, or in a /send.  This does not mean that you cannot use abbreviations such as "OOP" in your hunting groups when you are in the middle of combat, but we ask that if there is no reason for hasty typing (not in combat) that you use complete sentences and try to remain in character.

*Mythic's roleplay policy applies specifically to open channels, and as such, we try to encourage roleplay in /group conversations, but do not require it. We believe leading by example is the best approach, and those non-roleplayers often get into the spirit of the conversations without being directly requested to do so.

3. Honor Always -- Issues such as disruptive begging, unfair crafting practices, exploiting game mechanics or using illegal means to gain advantage, rolling for/taking hunt drops, when the character you have on the hunt can not immediately use the item, and so on, are expressly frowned upon and will be subject to removal from the guild. (If the group is in consensus that alts can roll for the item, or encourages you to keep the item, that is fine, but all hunt drops should immediately be offered to the best class that can use them)

4. Powerlevelling Policy -- Although we often hunt together as a group for fun and fellowship, we are not a "powerlevel" guild and have no official policy on aiding younger members in their hunt. Assistance is often freely offered, but should never  be expected or demanded. We all hunt with our brothers and sisters of Danann because we like to, but at times other priorities may be in the forefront. You are always responsible for your own grouping needs in both realm combat and leveling.

5. Alliance Friends -- Our Alliance is essentially an expanded guild, and you are encouraged to use "/gc who alliance" to see who all our friends are and seek groups within the entire alliance. You can also announce hunts you are planning in the alliance channel, but remember to remain in character,

6. Be Friendly -- We are a non-elitist guild and all our hunts can be made open to all members of the realm, though this is not required. It is encouraged to take other Hibernians into your group if you have room and the hunt you are on can feasibly support another group member. In realm combat, it is also highly encouraged to take in all realm mates until you have a full group, regardless of their training, class, or level. This encourages fellowship, and any help is good help.

5. Crafting Policy -- Crafters are on hand to provide a variety of goods, both in the guild and in the alliance. However, courtesy in always offering a fair price and tip is expected, again to show our honor amongst our brethren.

6. New Members -- New members are invited after having traveled with one of our members for several hours and after being approved by an officer of the guild.  This is not necessarily an extensive process, but if you wish to join us you must travel with us. The Clan leaders will make doubly sure that people realize what it means to join our family.

7. Switching Guilds -- We realize that people's goals and ideals change over time. If at any time, you find another clan that more suitable to your quests in the lands of Hibernia, we extend our blessings to you with no ill will. Please notify the Clan of your intention to seek a new family, and you will be given honor and best wishes on your continuing journey. While it is highly encouraged to keep your alternate characters in the family as well, this is not a requirement.

8.  Mythic's Roleplaying Rules -- We strictly adhere to and enforce Mythic's policies for the roleplaying servers.  Here they are again in case you did not read them previously:

Roleplay Server Rules Repost:

Everyone at Mythic Entertainment realizes what an exciting and important thing we are doing, as we open our first Roleplaying server. It is important for us to provide the people who really want to Roleplay, with an environment that they can do this in. Therefore, we have come up with several enhancements to our standard Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Policy. These enhancements are intended to make the environments on DAoC roleplaying servers as fun as possible for the people involved, and to dissuade people from coming to the server who are not roleplayers, or people who come to interfere with the roleplaying of others.

One of the main things that will change is our approach to enforcement of the Code of Conduct and Naming Policy. We will be much stricter on our interpretation of these policies and will enforce them with a much heavier hand. The message is "Do not come to this server if you do not want to Roleplay". We are very committed to giving excellent customer service on this and all of our game servers, and will do what we can to make playing on the roleplaying servers a great experience for all DAoC roleplayers.

Naming Policy for Roleplaying Servers.
=====================================
-All names must fit into the medieval or dark-ages setting.
-All names must fit into the realm that you are playing in.
-All policy enforcement for names on the roleplaying servers will be done aggressively by members of the DAoC CS staff, of Server Lead and higher authority. It is in Mythic's sole judgment whether a name breaks the policy, and we will rename characters accordingly. If you see someone with a name that obviously breaks the roleplaying ruleset, please report them.

Communication Policy for Roleplaying Servers.
=============================================
-All communication on the roleplay server must be appropriate for the medieval or dark-ages time-period (in-character). Specifically;
-No talking about modern day topics is allowed. Examples of this include, but are not limited to: Discussions about modern sports. Discussions about modern music. Discussions about current events. Discussions about computers or gaming. Or discussions about any other modern-day topic.
-If a guild, group or person agrees that out-of-character communication is acceptable, then Mythic will not interfere with this decision within /Guild, /Group or /Sends communication. There is never a time when out-of-character communication is acceptable in /Broadcast, /Say, or /Shout.
-If someone is breaking the roleplaying communication policy on the server, you MUST ask them to stop before reporting them. If they stop when asked, and do not repeat their out-of-character communication, then the problem is solved and there is no need to contact customer support. If someone persists in breaking the roleplaying communication policy, then report them using the /Appeal command, and DAoC Customer Support will investigate and take action as appropriate.
-Abbreviations, Internet Shorthand, "dude speak" and any other non-RP communications are not allowed on this server. If someone is using single words or abbreviations that break your roleplaying immersion, please use the /RPFilter command to filter those words into something that you consider more appropriate. In general, Mythic Customer Support will not take action on people using single non-RP words or abbreviations unless they violate another policy (vulgarity, zone disruption, harassment, etc.), or are intentionally trying to bypass the Roleplay filter. If someone is using multiple words or sentences that violate this policy, or if you encounter a situation where the /RPFilter does not work or is being bypassed; first ask the player to stop, if they continue, please appeal the violation and we will investigate fully and take appropriate action.

Event Interference on Roleplaying Servers.
==========================================
-Any interference or disruption of scheduled events, whether run by players or by Mythic Staff, is strictly prohibited.

If you cannot abide by these rules, DO NOT play on these servers. Mythic Entertainment has a strict policy of enforcement regarding these rules, and will not tolerate players coming to this server who do not or will not abide by these Rules of Conduct. Breaking any of the above rules can result in actions against your account to include warnings, banishment from the roleplay servers,suspensions, and even termination of your account (based on the severity of the violation). Thank you and have a great time roleplaying!
